THE SURPRISES KEEP COMING

The left continues its slide.  Rosie O’ Donnell recently threw in the towel and moved to Ireland as a result of the Trump win.  I have it on good authority that Ireland is threatening to impose a one-thousand-dollar tariff on all of our goods if we don’t take her back.

And MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow recently had to take a pay cut because of a plummeting viewer loss.  Her annual salary dropped . . . wait for it . . . from thirty million dollars to a miserable twenty-five million!  Don’t you feel sorry for her?  Her wife wasn’t pleased to say the very least.  Her politics are to the left of left and I’m not surprised that she was born in Castro Valley, California.

Speaking of California, there was an attempt by one jurisdiction to further restrict gun bans.  Get this: an individual who kills to protect himself or family during a criminal act might be charged with murder under certain circumstances!  Allegedly, the victim must prove that every effort was made to avoid the shooting and it occurred after such action was attempted.  Example; running away or slamming a door.  That would be difficult to prove if it was just you and the attacker and there were no witnesses.

Want more?  The attorney general of the People’s Republic of Washington is suing Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner, claiming that he violated state law.  His offense? Co-operating with federal ICE officers who are rounding up illegal aliens for deportation!  The AG claimed that such activity was placing legal citizens in danger. . . and. . . reducing the labor force!  You can’t make this stuff up . . .

And birthright citizenship is back in the news.  Apparently, the Supreme Court is going to hear a suit pertaining to the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution.  I have discussed this issue previously.  The question is whether a child born in this country is automatically an American citizen.  This question became a bigger issue with the influx of illegal immigration the past four years.  If a woman  gives birth to a child while she is here illegality, is that child a natural born citizen of the United States?

If my niece comes from Germany for a visit while pregnant and delivers while she is here visiting, is the child an American citizen based solely on his location of birth?  The answer is a resounding NO as far as I’m concerned;  however, it will be interesting to hear the Courts finding.  The amendment specifically states that a child born in the United States to individuals who are subject to citizenship duties is a citizen.  That’s not exact, but it’s close.

And what about these idiots destroying Tesla vehicles and dealerships all over the country because of Elon Musk’s involvement in cleaning up The Swamp?  He’s certainly not doing it for the money.  In fact, his net worth has recently dropped a billion dollars!   As Vice President Vance addressed a similar group harassing him and his child, “Don’t you people have a job?  I’ll break it to you gently, Mister Vice President.  That is their job!  I wish I could prove it.  They are paid to do it.

I recently learned that, toward the end of his term, Biden was unable to sign his name to presidential documents, so a stamp of his signature was created and used to sign said documents!  No, I’m not kidding.  Essentially, anyone possessing the stamp could “sign” a document!  Would a document be legitimate if the signature was a stamp?  Couldn’t anyone with access to the stamp pretend to be the president?  Biden’s cognitive dementia would certainly inhibit his ability to determine whether he actually authorized the “signature”.

Lastly, the United States Postal Service is in serious financial difficulty and there is talk about privatizing it.  Most folks are choosing electronic communication rather than mailing items these days.  The same holds true for cash transactions and paper checks.  The next couple of decades are going to be very transformative.  I wonder how much of it I will get to witness . . .
