THE PRICE OF ICE

Things continue to remain crazy.  I’m sure you’ve all read about the ICE facility being fired on by some nutcase who then took his own life.  No one seems to know if the intended target was ICE or the detainees!  And then take one’s own life?  What’s the point?

And how about the ABC station fired on, apparently in retribution for Jimmy Kimmel’s dismissal?    ABC then allows Kimmel to return, despite the fact that no one watches the show, which is a flushing toilet financially.

And what about all this gunfire?  I read recently that a grounds keeper was shot and killed by a neighbor who was upset that the groundkeeper’s activity created grass and mud splatter on the neighbor’s car!  This is insane!  The gun didn’t kill him; insanity did and that’s the case all over the country . . . and the world.

Thankfully, there some sane events occurring.  Trump’s speech at the United Nations is an example.  He was subjected to an intentionally faulty escalator and teleprompter; however, he delivered a scathing message to a quiet stone-faced audience, itemizing shortcoming after shortcoming and it was a pleasure to watch.  Candidly, I can’t comprehend why the organization continues to function.

Probably the most interesting and concerning news is the announcement by Trump and HHS Director Kennedy that use of the common painkiller Tylenol  is connected to the development of autism in children.  Needless to say, the left is going berserk, claiming that such was not the case despite the fact that, in 2017, Tylenol executives made a public statement to that effect cautioning pregnant women to avoid using their product.  Not surprisingly, pregnant left female nutcases began consuming Tylenol by the bucket, thereby endangering their fetuses to . . . prove . . . what?

Another hopeful piece of news.  Jim Comey and John Bolton and, hopefully, many more leftists are facing possible criminal charges regarding alleged lies they told to Congressional committees during various hearings.  Comey’s own second-in-command will testify to that effect.  Also, a raid on Bolton’s office revealed classified documents in his possession which he had no right to have.  The left was quick to label these investigations a personal attack by Donald Trump targeting his enemies using trumped up (pun intended) charges.

The statute of limitations will expire on September 30th and action will have to be taken before that.  It is highly doubtful that Comey will actually be indicted as far as I’m concerned, but one can always hope.

Another rather humorous event involves U tube.  Once well known for banning conservatives from its site, it is now pleading for their return and providing platforms which will appeal to them.  Do you suppose that we’ll take the bait?

On a personal level, I’ve made a rather disturbing discovery.  Some time ago, I had to cancel my Citibank Costco credit card due to unauthorized items appearing.  A new card arrived and I gave it little thought until another card with an identical number arrived along with instructions to activate it.  Since I already had, I called to determine whether this needed to be done.

I was greeted by zombies who insisted that I respond by pressing buttons.  Numerous attempts to speak with a real person were ignored.  I’ve become convinced that Citibank no longer employs human beings.  Thank you, AI!

Also, I’m so damned tired of opening a news clip on my computer only to have it interrupted by a commercial a few seconds in.  If I grit my teeth and wait it out because I’m interested in the story, the clip is again attacked by a subsequent pitch for a product which I have absolutely no intent to purchase.  Surely, these sponsors understand that their efforts are being ignored . . .

Lastly, while I was composing this masterpiece, news came that James Comey has indeed been indicted by a federal grand jury on several counts.  I’m certain that he will not be the only one.  It’s going to be an interesting October.
