The “Shut Down” has been going on for about five weeks. Dozens of TSA employees have been forced to resign their positions due to the fact that they haven’t received a paycheck and President Trump has been compelled to bring in ICE officers to assist with endless lines of passengers waiting to board a flight.
The overwhelming majority of the blame for this fiasco is the Democrat Party; however, there a number of Republican senators who wish to remain anonymous (big surprise) who are opposed to reopening the government for reasons I can’t begin to fathom. Meanwhile, all on both sides are receiving their paychecks.
Efforts are being made by the president to expose those names. Senator John Thune, the GOP leader, is not being very helpful. Efforts on the left to deter ICE activities created the shutdown in the first place and the irony is that ICE agents are receiving their paychecks due to previous funding!
Additional efforts are directed to deter passing the Save America Act which, among other things, would require identification to register to vote and produce same at the voting booth. Chuck refers to it as the “Jim Crow, No!” bill. Ironically, polls show that eighty-plus percent of the voting public supports secure voting and this includes seventy-plus percent of Democrats!
As you are probably aware, President Trump has called upon ICE to assist TSA at major airports and is threatening to call out the National Guard as well. I cannot imagine standing in line for hours to board a flight. I sincerely hope that these individuals remember which party is the cause in November . . .
I can’t begin to comprehend the level of hatred the left has for Donald Trump. His numerous accomplishments are all but ignored by the legacy media while his shortcomings receive spotlight attention. His attempts at humor are treated as if he was serious. Speculations concerning his health abound while Biden’s were ignored or denied. The man is nearly eighty years old and much younger companions have difficulty keeping up with him!
I will never understand the so-called “legacy media” and its distain for the current administration. Recently, Apple published an article lauding Gays for Palestine which reached 125 million viewers. Gays for Palestine? Do these idiots realize that homosexuality is forbidden in Islam and the punishment is being thrown off the roof of a building? I presume that many in this group are females who ignore the fact that women have no rights in an Islamic regime and can be murdered at the whim of a male for the slightest infraction?
In my opinion, Islam is not a religious faith; it is an ideology. As I’ve mentioned previously, it has already made significant inroads in every European country and is making the same effort here. The mayor of New York City is an excellent example. Much of the massive Medicare and Medicaid fraud taking place across the country can be traced back to Islamic members. I am not implying that all Islamists are involved because that would be false. Many faithful would more than likely be disgusted with those who are involved.
Enough of that. I recently read a very touching article involving an elderly woman who called the local lumber company begging for wood shavings for her fireplace because she couldn’t afford to purchase firewood. The company owner then appeared with a pickup filled with firewood and when he saw the conditions under which she was living, he took it upon himself to gather a group of volunteers who then went about repairing her home which included a hole in her roof and plumbing issues. He continued to look in on her periodically to make sure she was okay.
It’s sad that only negative events receive publicity. The world is filled with wonderful people who do wonderful things for others without expecting praise for their efforts. I’d like to think that, at some point in the future, they will be recognized and rewarded.
