About Frank Kelly

I was born in upstate New York and moved to Nebraska with my family when I was sixteen. I graduated from what was then Kearney State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and taught high school for a few years before joining the army. I spent my tour in Germany where I met my wife DeeDee and we were married for fifty-five years before her death in 2020. The marriage produced a daughter, Deena, who is the light of my life. Upon release from the service, I joined the Grand Island, Nebraska Police Department and spent four years there. During my time with the department the infamous Miranda Decision came down and you should have heard the old timers scream because they were compelled to advise an arrestee of his rights!

I subsequently left law enforcement for a higher paying job; however, I was very unhappy with it and wanted very much to return to law enforcement. By then I was in my mid-thirties. I applied instead for a fraud investigator position with First National Bank of Omaha and remained with the bank for over thirty years before retiring as a Second Vice President of Security and Investigations.

My wife and I moved to Arizona and lived there for fourteen years before returning to the Midwest due to my wife’s failing health. As I indicated previously, she passed away in November, 2020. I decided to remain here to be close to my daughter. I’m currently settled in an independent living facility.
