PERSPECTIVE: A FASCINATING CONCEPT

Whether we realize it, we deal with the concept of “perspective” in our daily lives.  Perspective simply means the angle from which we observe any issue.  Politics is a classic example: liberals and conservatives see issues from different angles . . . or points of view . . . or perspectives.

Perspectives  are born from experience and can change depending upon those same experiences and how they affect our lives.  Example: A woman who has felt completely safe walking alone in her community is suddenly assaulted and robbed and badly injured . . . or  worse. Logic tells us that she  will more than likely view that activity from an entirely different perspective.  Do you agree?

Let’s say that you meet someone and instantly like that individual and a strong friendship begins.  Then, at some point, that same individual commits an act that is flagrant betrayal of the friendship, leaving you devastated.  Your view of that former friend changes drastically, I’m sure, as well as future relationships you might engage in.

While I am a strong supporter of our current president, my perspectives on some of his policies have changed.  His efforts to reduce the federal workforce by mass firings will . . . no pun intended . . . backfire at some point.  Now, my perspective turns to the government employee who has spent twenty-three years working diligently for Uncle Sam and who is suddenly out of a job through no fault of his making.

He can no longer feed his family or put that child through college because of the actions of corrupt higher-ups.  How will those millions vote in coming elections?  My solution?  Issue an edict that the position of any government employee leaving the workforce will not be refilled.  Obviously, this excludes elective or appointive positions.  Tens of thousands of federal employees now leave the workforce annually through retirement or promotion, or for other reasons, and eventually the same goal will be met and with less angst.

I’m certain I’ve mentioned this before.  While ICE endeavors are necessary, their activities have generated an enormous negative perspective on the part of American citizens.  The left is quick to publicize large-scale raids with immigrants being thrown to the ground and vigorously cuffed.  And how about portraying elderly illegals sobbing while being deported thirty years after their “illegal” entry.  And then there are the children who were born here facing deportation because their parents are illegal and “illegal” farm workers desperately trying to feed their families forced to leave the country.

My perspective would be a concerted effort to locate and identify criminal illegals and then publicize the arrest along with a list of their criminal acts before deporting or imprisoning them.  Hey, all of a sudden ICE becomes “the good guy” and not the bully!  What do you think, J.B.?  I like this perspective . . .

We are now into two weeks of government shutdown with no indication of a solution.  The left blames the right even though numerous efforts have been made by conservatives to gain enough votes on the left to re-open.  What do you suppose the perspective is of the government employee whose missing paycheck is keeping food off the table, the house payment becoming delinquent, as well as other obligations?

And “redistricting” is back at the front.  Several states are making an effort to reshape voting districts according to race!  Isn’t that in and of itself racist?  To assume that voters are going to make a decision as to who will be represent them in Washington based solely upon skin color demeans those voters.  Race should never be an issue . . . period!  That holds true for other characteristics we have no control over.  And, no, Supreme Court Justice Jackson, the entire Black race is not disabled!

What happened to our country?  We are now the Divided States of America.

IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?

The insanity continues.  I just finished reading an article which defies any form of human comprehension.  While in her vehicle, a woman pulled out a handgun and shot her four children, killing two, aged thirteen and two and wounding the others!  Law enforcement was having difficulty determining a motive.  No kidding!  What could possibility be a sane motive for such an act?  This individual gave birth to four human beings and then deemed it perfectly proper to end those lives.

I read another devastating event.  A twenty-two-year -old girl was asleep in her  own bedroom when she was awakened by a stranger,  brutally beaten, raped and murdered!  The girl’s father testified later that this animal perpetrator of his daughter’s murder had a criminal history going back decades which included forty-five crimes of violence and that he had been released back on the streets after each offense! He had only served eight hundred days in confinement during his long career!

Meanwhile, officials in “sanctuary cities” like Chicago and Portland continue to behave like spoiled youngsters as they order attacks on ICE officials while those brave individuals perform their constitutional duties and protect federal property.  There have even been death threats with offers of cash for killing a particular ICE officer as well as more generic threats for others.  Even ICE families are not exempt from threats.

Speaking of death threats, Jay Jones, Democratic nominee for the attorney general’s position in Virginia, threatened not only to put bullets into the head of his Republican opponent, but those of his children as well!  This could be the chief law enforcement officer of that fine state!  While under immense pressure from both political sides, he continues to run.

Children are back in my news.  I’ve mentioned previously how children are being mistreated by those who should be caring for them.  I just read a clip which I had extreme trouble comprehending.  A twenty-seven-year-old father pummeled his daughter to death because she interfered an X-Box game he was playing.  Get this:  The daughter was two months old!

Positive news!  Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted on criminal charges and his trial has been scheduled for early January.  And Jack Smith, who headed the Trump inquisition, may also  be facing a little time behind bars.  Evidence has been unearthed by the new FBI that several GOP senators were secretly spied upon by the April Frost gang headed up by Smith and his cohorts.  The left, of course, is ranting that Trump is illegally targeting his political enemies, which is hilarious considering the extent of illegal targeting they perpetrated against Donald Trump in the past decade!

Jelly Belly Prick-ster, Illinois Governor, continues his efforts to destroy the great city of Chicago with the assistance of its mayor, Brandon Johnson, a former unsuccessful rapper with a five percent (5%) approval rating.  Jelly Belly is an inherited billionaire whose management skills are so poor that he is not allowed to make business decisions in his corporation.  SOOO. . . he bought the governor’s mansion.  This, while the people of Chicago silently scream for help from the feds.  Incidentally, I wonder what J.B.’s reaction would be if his daughter was found murdered in her bed?

Finally, a relatively unknown clown has become the leading Democrat candidate for the California gubernatorial race!  Her name is Katie Porter, and to conjure up an image, just think of J.B. Prick-ster in drag.  When asked follow-up questions by an interviewer, Porter became angry and ended the interview, stating that she would answer only pre-arranged ones!  She also has a habit of severely mistreating employees.  It sounds to me as though she will make an ideal California governor!

Finally, one exiting bit.  Donald Trump has managed to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza!  Previously held hostages, both alive and deceased, will soon be released!  The Nobel Peace Prize should be a shoo-in for a man who has solved armed conflicts across the world.  See what a real leader does, J.B.?

Paco

I DON’T BELIEVE IT!

I honestly do not believe what is going on in this damned country!  Just when I think things can’t get crazier . . . it happens!  A concerted effort is being made to destroy everything I believe in.  Example: As you are aware, we were recently required to obtain a “starred” driver’s license if we intended to travel by air.  The intent was, I presume, to counter the use of bogus driver’s licenses which could be obtained quite easily by illegals.  One had to provide proof positive (birth certificates?) identification in order to obtain the starred license.

While arresting truckers in Oklahoma, the state police discovered that the People’s Republic of New York has been issuing “starred” commercial driver’s licenses to illegal aliens!  In the space where the name would normally appear are the words NO NAME GIVEN!  And, no, I’m not “BS-ing” you; I’ve seen one of the confiscated licenses.

In another event which has received a great deal of publicity, Secretary of War, (actually, I prefer Defense) Pete Hegseth, ordered the entire military defense command from around the world to D.C. to outline dramatic changes he is making.  I may be the only one who thinks so, but isn’t it obvious that our enemies are also aware that every single general and admiral is gathered in one large room and a single explosive device could eliminate our entire command?  I’m not certain, but I believe the president and vice president were also there for a time.

I’m certain that I’ve mentioned this before; I sincerely believe that the most valuable assets within our civilization are our children.  And instead of protecting those assets, we are damaging and, ultimately, destroying them.  It is our offspring who inherit what we leave and in what condition it is left!  Millions are aborted before they can have an opportunity to breathe, let alone preserve our legacy . . . and many suffer at the hands of others.

Richard Cox from northern Virginia is a classic example.  A long-term pedophile, Cox has an extensive history of child molestation covering decades.  His recent fixation is to enter girl’s dressing rooms insisting that he is a “woman” and fondling himself while often prepubescent girls change clothes even though it is obvious that he is male.  Those in charge are reluctant to interfere based upon current wokeism philosophy.  Cox has been arrested dozens of times, only to be turned loose to prey on children again.  If he really wishes to be a woman, give me a few moments with him . . . and my hunting knife.

Incidentally, these individuals “in charge” are the same ones who ceaselessly attempt to convince an eight-year-old female that she is actually a boy to the extent of even changing her school surname to that of a male without parental consent!  Now, I am not anti-trans despite what you might think.  If grown individuals choose to make such a change in their lives, so be it.  It’s the brainwashing of the innocent which I despise.  A key ingredient of a civilized world is mutual respect.  It’s one of the things which was drilled into me from my earliest age and it isn’t being done for the most part today.

I spent much of my adulthood in one kind of uniform or another.  Respect was drilled into me:  It was “Yes, Sir!”,  No, Sir!,”  “Yes Ma’am!” “No Ma-am!”  To not show respect gets you into very hot water.  That’s the way it should be.

Imagine for a moment that you are leaning against a bridge railing watching the river flowing below when you notice an individual a short distance away who nods when he notices you looking.  You instantly hate this individual even though you’ve never even spoken!  Sounds ludicrous, you ask?  It happens all the time.  Soooo, why the hate?  You resemble one another.  He has two arms and legs and he’s about the same height . . .  There is one very different distinction which causes that hate to erupt:

His skin is a different color!

What we should be sharing are the similarities, not the differences.  Why not chat a bit?  You may well realize that this individual is worth knowing.

Paco

THE SHOOTUPS CONTINUE

The insanity continues.  Imagine that you and your wife are enjoying a meal at a riverside restaurant when someone cruises up in a boat and starts shooting, killing your wife and several others.  Or that you are having a drink at your local bar when someone walks in and starts shooting, killing and then turns around and calmly leaves.  Another?  You are praying in your church when shots ring out and parishioners are wounded or killed.  All of this occurred within a matter of days in different parts of our country.  In many, the shooter then commits suicide.

It has finally happened; we’ve found ourselves in a situation where we are reluctant to leave our homes, fearing some nutcase will end our lives for no apparent reason while we grocery shop or fill our tanks . . . or grab a bite to eat.  Meanwhile, duly appointed law enforcement officers are targeted simply for carrying out their duties.  It is my understanding that the Communist News Network has developed a digitized format which allows ICE officers to be tracked, not only by location, but by what they are wearing!

Personally, I am not pleased with the way Donald Trump chose to handle the illegal immigrant problem.  I believe he created the dangers his ICE agents are facing with these very public raids.  A better and safer method would have been a quiet concerted effort to locate illegals with long criminal arrest histories and deporting or imprisoning  them.  This, as opposed to raiding farms and businesses and arresting illegals whose only crime other than illegal entry is working to feed their families.

Before I continue, I must make a personal apology to Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania.  When he was elected, I couldn’t comprehend how this individual defeated who I felt was a much more competent and experienced candidate.  However, he expresses far more intellect and intelligence than any ten of his fellow Democrats combined.  “Senator Fetterman, I most humbly apologize for underestimating your abilities.  If I was Pennsylvania resident, I would cheerfully vote for you in coming elections.  But . . . please dress appropriately?”

As most of you are aware, we are just hours away from a government shutdown and “Chuckie” is making no effort to prevent it from happening.  How this individual has managed to remain in Congress for decades is something I will never begin to comprehend.  I’ve heard that he may not be re-elected and that his nemesis is none other than Another Odious Communist!  Our country will then revert to only forty-nine states . . . and the People’s Republic of New York.

On to other things:  In the past few days, I’ve found myself reminiscing about the time I spent in Germany sixty-odd years ago.  (Caution!  If you find me recounting the same events, please keep in mind the age of the author.)

I spent thirty-one months stationed at Seventh Army Headquarters near Stuttgart.  At that time, it was still two Germanys and the Cold War was raging.  Because I’m terrified of electricity, the army made me a power generator specialist and we supported Seventh Army in the field which meant negotiating narrow German cobblestone streets while driving a five-ton truck and pulling a trailer with an additional 60KW generator.  The army was always paying for damage to buildings as a result of these convoys, but the residents turned out in bunches to watch.

Eventually, my commanding officer learned that I had been a schoolteacher in civilian  life and transferred me to headquarters where I handled education and training.  It was in this capacity that in June, 1963 I was able to witness something which I will never forget.  I was at the edge of the landing area when the helicopters set down and President John F. Kennedy exited one with then Army Secretary Elvis Stahr.  Kennedy was on his way to give his famous Ich bin ein Berliner speech.   Who would have dreamed that he’d be gone almost exactly five months later.  The announcement was made on the Armed Forces Network that fateful day as I was driving back to the Post and, at first, I thought they were doing a drama on Lincoln.  Years later, I visited the site in Dallas where it took place and relived my German tour and the evening I heard the news.

Speaking of news, currently it is all spewing hate.  Individuals who do so from the relative safety of their closets are despicable.  I have a challenge for you; dare to approach me and display your hatred one-on-one.  Do you think you could possibly accomplish that?  I would be amazed and, candidly, impressed.  And I would even be very happy to help you pick up your teeth!

THE PRICE OF ICE

Things continue to remain crazy.  I’m sure you’ve all read about the ICE facility being fired on by some nutcase who then took his own life.  No one seems to know if the intended target was ICE or the detainees!  And then take one’s own life?  What’s the point?

And how about the ABC station fired on, apparently in retribution for Jimmy Kimmel’s dismissal?    ABC then allows Kimmel to return, despite the fact that no one watches the show, which is a flushing toilet financially.

And what about all this gunfire?  I read recently that a grounds keeper was shot and killed by a neighbor who was upset that the groundkeeper’s activity created grass and mud splatter on the neighbor’s car!  This is insane!  The gun didn’t kill him; insanity did and that’s the case all over the country . . . and the world.

Thankfully, there some sane events occurring.  Trump’s speech at the United Nations is an example.  He was subjected to an intentionally faulty escalator and teleprompter; however, he delivered a scathing message to a quiet stone-faced audience, itemizing shortcoming after shortcoming and it was a pleasure to watch.  Candidly, I can’t comprehend why the organization continues to function.

Probably the most interesting and concerning news is the announcement by Trump and HHS Director Kennedy that use of the common painkiller Tylenol  is connected to the development of autism in children.  Needless to say, the left is going berserk, claiming that such was not the case despite the fact that, in 2017, Tylenol executives made a public statement to that effect cautioning pregnant women to avoid using their product.  Not surprisingly, pregnant left female nutcases began consuming Tylenol by the bucket, thereby endangering their fetuses to . . . prove . . . what?

Another hopeful piece of news.  Jim Comey and John Bolton and, hopefully, many more leftists are facing possible criminal charges regarding alleged lies they told to Congressional committees during various hearings.  Comey’s own second-in-command will testify to that effect.  Also, a raid on Bolton’s office revealed classified documents in his possession which he had no right to have.  The left was quick to label these investigations a personal attack by Donald Trump targeting his enemies using trumped up (pun intended) charges.

The statute of limitations will expire on September 30th and action will have to be taken before that.  It is highly doubtful that Comey will actually be indicted as far as I’m concerned, but one can always hope.

Another rather humorous event involves U tube.  Once well known for banning conservatives from its site, it is now pleading for their return and providing platforms which will appeal to them.  Do you suppose that we’ll take the bait?

On a personal level, I’ve made a rather disturbing discovery.  Some time ago, I had to cancel my Citibank Costco credit card due to unauthorized items appearing.  A new card arrived and I gave it little thought until another card with an identical number arrived along with instructions to activate it.  Since I already had, I called to determine whether this needed to be done.

I was greeted by zombies who insisted that I respond by pressing buttons.  Numerous attempts to speak with a real person were ignored.  I’ve become convinced that Citibank no longer employs human beings.  Thank you, AI!

Also, I’m so damned tired of opening a news clip on my computer only to have it interrupted by a commercial a few seconds in.  If I grit my teeth and wait it out because I’m interested in the story, the clip is again attacked by a subsequent pitch for a product which I have absolutely no intent to purchase.  Surely, these sponsors understand that their efforts are being ignored . . .

Lastly, while I was composing this masterpiece, news came that James Comey has indeed been indicted by a federal grand jury on several counts.  I’m certain that he will not be the only one.  It’s going to be an interesting October.

VERIFY AND THEN PUBLISH

What an odd literary concept, don’t you think?  Why would anyone publish an account before determining whether it is in fact accurate?  It’s a query leftist media ignore on a regular basis . . . and to be fair, conservative media occasionally as well.

Unfortunately, we live in a society where truth no longer matters and appearance does.  Recently, coward Luigi Mangione, who shot a stranger in the back as he was walking to a conference, had a federal charge dropped while those outside gathered to celebrate his good fortune!  He still faces murder charges; however, is seen as a martyr to his supporters.  Since the act took place in liberal New York City, he’ll probably be acquitted by a leftist jury.

Speaking of inaccurate publishing, Kamala is in the process of publishing her rather hilarious biographical account of her efforts to gain the presidency.  Her first choice for running mate was none other than former transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg!  If you recall, Pete accomplished absolutely nothing while in office except to fly everywhere . . . everywhere, that is, except the horrific train derailment in eastern Ohio which devastated the state.

Kamala felt that the public would have difficulty voting for a black woman and gay white man.  Gee . . . do you think?  Instead, she decided on an idiot with a fixation on tampons and a filthy mouth.  She also alleged that her husband, a Jew, received threats from the right based on his faith.  I’m told she’s also badmouthing just about every Democrat including Biden.  I don’t have any plans to buy it.

The left certainly has its panties in a bunch over the Jimmy Kimmel fiasco!  Of course, Trump is taking the heat rather than Disney which owns ABC.  No one mentions the fact that his show has lost about fifty percent of its audience and it was costing Disney forty million dollars a year to keep it going . . . and paying him fifteen million annually to spend time being unfunny and abrasive.  Apparently, offensive comments concerning Charlie Kirk’s assassination were the “straw that broke the camel’s back”.

Negative comments from the left immediately appeared spewing hate directed at an individual they knew nothing about.  Eric Swalwell took time out from groping  a female Chinese spy to demean someone with more character in his little finger than Swallow . . . well . . . has in his entire body.  Californians have a habit of selecting the worst individuals to represent them.  Do you agree?  Let’s see . . . we have many to keep Swalwell company: Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Gavin Newsom, Mike Levin, Darrell Issa, Dave Min and Adam Schiff . . .  Oh, how could we possibly forget Kamala Harris?

Kash Patel’s FBI is in the process of locating evidence involving a concerted and organized effort to ambush Donald Trump’s 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns.  Several federal law enforcement agencies actively participated in the effort.  The infamous Mar-A-Lago raid was part of that effort as was Russian collusion.  The project even had its own title . . . Artic Frost.

The First Amendment has again taken the limelight following Kimmel’s late-night demise.  What comprises “free speech” you may ask?  How does free speech differ from hate speech?  What exactly were the Founder’s intentions regarding public comment?  If you make a public speech and are then sued successfully for thousands of dollars, was that speech free?  If you make statements offensive to others and are assaulted . . .?  Personally, the concept of “free speech” is an enigma to me and I have no idea what the Founders intended.

Speaking of definitions, I’ve got a beaut!  Jasmine Crockett, an attorney and Texas representative, recently stated that if someone commits a crime, that doesn’t mean he’s a criminal!  Excuse me?  The implication as I see it is that a starving person who steals food should not be charged.  Soooo, if I rob a bank to pay a ransom demand to save a relative’s life, I should not be charged with a crime?

So, am I practicing free speech if tell Jasmine that she’s an idiot?  It would be difficult for her to retaliate since I can verify it.

Paco

GOODBYE CHARLIE!

I came home from shopping to discover that another disgusting assassination had been committed.  Charlie Kirk, thirty-one, was shot while conducting one of his on-campus sessions in Utah!  He leaves behind a loving wife and two small children.  I’ve wondered for some time whether our magnificent nation is on its way to hell; I’m becoming convinced that we are already there and the devil is running things.  Luckily, he’s been apprehended.

Then, a twenty-three-year-old Ukrainian refugee climbs aboard a rail transport after a long shift, and sits to text her boyfriend.  While she is engaged in that activity, a passenger sitting behind her suddenly rises, withdraws a knife and stabs her in the neck and walks away dripping blood.  Passengers seated around her witness the attack and make no effort to assist.  Instead, they stand and move away!  Finally, one young man does attempt to stop her from bleeding without success.  Meanwhile, the killer exits the train car without a single passenger attempting to take notice.

The killer was subsequently arrested and it was learned that he had an extensive criminal record, including sexual assault of a child under thirteen years of age and numerous other crimes and had been released fourteen-odd times by liberal prosecutors and judges!  Now a lovely immigrant who had fled Ukraine for what she believed was safety here wound up being murdered.

And parent-child abuse has reared its ugly head.  I’ve recently read numerous accounts which have left me stunned.  Children are civilization’s greatest asset and without them it ceases to exist; yet we abort millions every year.  To abuse the remainder by the very individuals designated to protect them defies the definition of sanity.  Example: A father severely beats his five-year-old son (which included biting him sever times) before throwing him down a flight of stairs!  He then tells responding law enforcement that the boy fell; however, forensic evidence and the testimony of a sister to the boy reveal the truth and he’s charged with murder.

An exception, you say?  A woman is observed throwing a bundle into a dumpster before walking quickly away.  Thankfully, the observer hears noise coming from the dumpster and calls police and a three-month-old infant is found in the discarded bundle!

A police officer finds a three-year-old female sitting between cars in the parking lot of a department store late in the evening.  When he gently questions the child, she tearfully replies that her mother doesn’t want her anymore and has left her there!

Police enter a home as a result of an alert and find several children of various ages handcuffed to their beds by their parents!  Subsequent questioning reveals that food and hygiene have been sporadically withheld as punishment for minor infractions.  There are also signs of physical abuse.

And I am starting to see an element of paganism appearing in our daily lives in the form of wokeness.  Pagans believe in multi-deism rather than a single God as with Christianity.  It thrived in ancient times prior to the rise of organized religion in the Fourth Century.  Commonly accepted beliefs such as the fact that there are only two human genders are disputed; hence transgenderism.

Speaking of the trans movement . . . it has been revealed that Kirk’s assassin was living with a trans individual and that he often spouted anti-Kirk rhetoric at family gatherings.  He was subsequently turned over to authorities by members of his family and the roommate is also cooperating.  The governor of Utah has stated emphatically that he will seek the death penalty if the state is chosen to handle the trial.  At this point, that is undecided and he may face federal prosecution instead.  Oh, and Utah’s penalty calls for death by public firing squad!

The level of hate coming from the left is beyond comprehension.  One liberal journalist has been fired for his comments and Erika Kirk’s televised message has initiated hundreds of applications for new Turning Point sites and it is obvious that his coalition will only grow;

IT’S BEEN A GOOD WEEK

Greetings!  I certainly hope your week was as good as mine. My granddaughter . . . my only grandchild . . . came up from Phoenix to visit for a few days and we had a great time.  I hadn’t seen her in person for several years (it’s a long story) and it was just a thrill to hold her.  She is beautiful and a real pleasure to be around and I miss her already.  We made tentative plans for her to come every few months in the future until such time that I bid the devil a cheerful hello.

We didn’t do much except enjoy each other’s company.  The only exception was a trip to Grand Island where DeeDee and I lived for several years, much of the time I was on the police force there.  I got to show her where we were living when her mother was born and we also visited with very close friends, Connie and Dennis Osterman.  Denny and I served on the PD together.

Unfortunately, the day ended with me taking a fall when we got home, winding up in the emergency room!  I was so exhausted when we got home that I wasn’t sure I could make it to my apartment, and shortly thereafter I did fall.  Luckily, there were no significant injuries other than scrapes and bruises, and I returned home the same night.  I’m still sore in places, but otherwise feel fine.

Obviously, I had no real opportunity to view much news while Samantha was here.  I did watch some of the torment RFK Jr. faced in his congressional hearing.  The left is going crazy over the possibility that Big Farma is not going to be making a fortune over doubtful child vaccines.  He’s being accused of endangering children’s lives!  This from those who support abortion, planned parenthood, gender transitioning and communist indoctrination!

On to other things:  Tuesday marks the 24th anniversary of 9-11.  As I’ve indicated previously, the event affected me greatly.  I hope you don’t mind me re-living it.  I flew to New York on August 29, 2001 to attend a conference with federal law enforcement.  As we approached, we flew over the Statue of Liberty and up the East River to land at La Guardia I glanced at the Towers, not giving them much thought.  Two weeks later, I was sitting in my office when an employee rushed in to announce that one of them had been hit by a plane!

Twenty-odd minutes later, the other tower was struck!   I visualized the Towers I had seen just two weeks before and it was difficult for me to believe they were gone.  Then, of course, came the Pentagon and the crash in Pennsylvania, when heroic passengers raided the cockpit and forced the crash.  Three thousand people died that day and it would have been a much larger total had the passengers not been successful.

Several months later, I returned for another conference.  This time, I was on the opposite side in the aircraft so I couldn’t see the damage from the air.  I was taken into Manhattan by an elderly Jew driving NYC’s version of Uber.  As we chatted, he told me that he was born and raised in Gaza and at that time, Muslims and Jews co-habited the same neighborhood and that he had been close to a Muslim living next door!  The neighbors traded house keys with each other when one was going out of town.

After checking in, I took the subway down to Ground Zero, but high walls guarded by NYPD officers preventing anyone from using the stairs. I sweet-talked a female officer in letting me climb the stairs; however, there wasn’t much to see except construction equipment and devastation.

Later that evening I was eating supper with a Secret Service agent and his wife, both Jews.  She told me that on 911 she was taking a cab downtown for a doctor’s appointment, and when the announcement was made, the taxi driver, obviously Muslim, turned and smiled at her.  She made him pull over and let her out.

Years later, we returned while on vacation and again visited the site as well as other points of interest, too numerous to mention.  For all of you drivers out there, you haven’t experienced vehicle operation until you’ve driven on the streets of Manhattan!  Take my word for it.

AC IN DC

I think we can all agree that there has been an Amazing Change in the District of Columbia and the left is furious.  I went into some detail in previous blogs concerning my visits there half a century ago.  I’m a history buff and Washington DC is the place to go to immerse one’s self in historical events.  I walked around freely,  and safely, enjoying all that there was to see without being accosted in any fashion.

As I read about the DC of today, I couldn’t help reminiscing.  The city now has the highest murder rate in the country, even surpassing several foreign cities with criminal histories!  Carjackings are so common that authorities had given up keeping statistics.  Sexual assaults and robberies have reached the point where victims don’t take time to report them.  In other words, a leftist society.

All crime has dropped significantly since Trump declared war on Washington’s streets and he has announced, much to the chagrin of the left, that other sanctuary cities will be subjected.  Chicago has been mentioned, as well as Los Angeles and New York City.  Incidentally, the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, has a six percent (6%) approval rating among voters.  Governor J. B. Pritzker, owner of the Hyatt Hotel chain, is considering a presidential run in twenty-eight if he can stay away from  every Dairy Queen.

It is my understanding that the Democrat fugitives have returned to Texas; however the GOP gerrymandering bill is set to pass and be signed by Governor Greg Abbott.  Gerrymandering, of course, determines which party will serve in Congress and districts are controlled by state government.  It probably should be re-named Gerry rigging.  Illinois is a classic example.  For a laugh, check its congressional districts.

I’m certain that you are aware of the accident in Florida where an eighteen-wheeler was attempting an illegal U-turn causing several deaths.  The operator was an illegal alien in possession of a valid commercial vehicle license issued in California.  He could neither speak nor read English, indicating that he was unable to read road signs!

How could this individual be able to pass requirements allowing him to freely operate an eighteen-wheeler on the nation’s roads?  It is my understanding that this is not an isolated incident for California and that there are dozens if not more illegals with questionable commercial licenses on our roads every day!  Now, picture finding yourself in Germany illegally and attempting to obtain an operator’s license while unable to speak or read German.  Silly?  What’s the difference?  Obviously, the German official might mutter “fichi dich” if he could stop laughing.

This is the primary lesson which the left continues to ignore and I believe it to be intentional: In order for a society to exist, it must have rules which must be followed or there will be repercussions.  With them, rules are there to be broken and rules only apply to conservatives.  Gerrymandering comes to mind . . .

I recently read about a very disturbing incident which made me extremely angry.  A single father wanted to go away for a week so he locked his eight-year-old son in the garage with no food or water and no facilities!  A neighbor, I believe, became concerned and called the police.  They found the boy in soiled clothing and dehydrated among other things.  The child had no idea where his father was and was placed in a childcare facility.  When the father came home he was, of course,  immediately arrested.

Now, I have no idea what his punishment would be, but if I had my way he would be placed in a room for twenty minutes containing fathers with baseball bats, after which, if he survives, he would then be placed in a locked garage with no food, water or toilet facilities for one week.  Our most prized possessions are our children and they must be loved and protectedfrom all possible harm.

Lastly, a more humorous incident made me chuckle.  A woman was stopped by police for driving 74 mph in a 35-mph zone.  When asked by the officers where she was going, she indicated that she was on her way to court . . . to pay a previous speeding ticket!

IT’S COMING HOME TO ROOST

The events of the past few days have been stunning to say the very least!  The Democrat Party is on life support and its supporters are clustered around the bedside squabbling over whose fault it is.

Washington, DC has become a quagmire of crime.  Its murder rate is higher than many of the so-called “dangerous cities” here and abroad.  Contrary to popular belief, it has been listed a dangerous one throughout history, particularly during and after the Civil War and in the 1960’s and 1900’s.  Donald Trump’s decision to return responsibility for governing the city to Congress has been met with resistance by the left; however, many of the city’s residents are thankful.

While statistics indicate that crime is down considerably, there is alleged evidence that local police officials intentionally doctored those stats.  Car theft is out of sight, for example, but crime statistics have apparently ignored them.  Much of the criminal activity is perpetrated by younger teens who freely roam the streets day and night, causing havoc while authorities apparently look the other way.

Trump has placed numerous federal authorities as well as National Guard on the streets and it will be interesting to observe the effect of said placements.  I was bit surprised to learn that the district already has 3,200 police officers!   One would think that would be sufficient for an area that size.

Of course, much of the criminal activity is drug-related and I’m told that said deals take place openly in public areas.  Of course, this crime generates other criminal acts.  I recently watched several videos of DC residents who were thrilled with what Trump has initiated and support him completely.  One grandmother recalled seeing a three-year-old boy out on the streets after dark!

I think the big news is Pam Bondi’s appointing an attorney general to preside over evidence which would be presented to a grand jury if one is called.  Others have indicated that grand juries will indeed be held regarding the Russia Gate fiasco.  FBI Director Kash Patel’s recovery of numerous “burn bags” containing incriminating criminal activity on the part of several high-level Obama personnel is disturbing news, especially for those involved in the scheme.

Among those allegedly named:  Hillary Clinton, Adam Schiff, Eric Swallwell, James Comey, John Brennan and Jake Clapper among others.  Obama’s name has even come up.  Candidly, the chances for jail time on any is doubtful; however, it is certainly warranted.  A great deal would depend on the jurisdiction the jury would take place.  Florida would be ideal and is a viable option.

ICE personnel continue to be harassed.  The “sanctuary city” concept is insane at the very least.  Officials are protecting illegals who, in turn, are victimizing their legal residents.  One horrific example is a young mother who was killed when an illegal alien driving while impaired crossed over and struck her car head-on.  This individual had been arrested seven times for various crimes and released every time! He had also illegally entered the country on several occasions, a federal felony offense.

Things are changing, though very slowly.  Recently, a man who was harassing ICE officials threw a subway sandwich, striking an officer and then ran.  While before, the officer would have taken the assault and done nothing, this time he and his team chased the man down and arrested him for assaulting a federal officer, a felony!  He was also fired from his federal job!

New York Attorney General Letitia James and Senator Adam Schiff are also under investigation for fraudulent home loans issues.  Both declared homes outside their jurisdictional areas as their primary residence.  Both are claiming revenge as being the reason for the action.  James ran for her position based on a promise to “get Trump” and was, obviously, unsuccessful.  Adam Schiff is probably the worst member of Congress and I will never comprehend the fact that Californians promoted him to Senator!

Lastly, in 1992, a member of Congress stood and ranted for some time about the violence and crime in the District of Columbia being out of control and something must be done immediately!  That Congressman?  Joseph R. Biden!
