HOLY HOCHUL!

Those of you watching the news are probably familiar with the recent Cornell University scandal when a student was allegedly gang-raped by a group of young men at a fraternity house.

According to the victim herself, she arrived at the house already intoxicated and then continued to drink.  While there, she engaged in sex with several fraternity members to include orally removing drugs from a member’s private part!  When questioned by law enforcement, she stated that she willingly engaged in the activity whereupon criminal charges were not brought.

Nearly two years later with the assistance of a member of the Ambulance Chasing Lawyers United, she filed a lawsuit against Cornell stating that she had been gang raped on university property and had not consented to the activity.  Thus, the New York State government became involved.

Enter Governor Kathy Hochul, one of the reasons why I’ve disowned my native state, castigating the District Attorney’s staff for not filing criminal charges against the Cornell 7!  Hochul, by far the worst governor ever for the state, appointed state Attorney General Letitia James, the worst ever to hold that position, as special counsel heading up the investigation.

Now, we all remember Letitia James as the shyster who invented “criminal charges” against Donald Trump, who was running for re-election. with the help of other creeps like Alvin Bragg Jr. and Jack Smith.  Obviously, all charges were subsequently dropped.  Most people agree that she is incapable of investigating whether her toilet paper roll is full.

I would not be surprised to hear that criminal charges are ultimately filed against those young men.  I’m assuming that the “victim” would be required to testify at any criminal trial and her own previous statements would be used against her.  It would be an interesting trial to watch.

Now, let me be clear; I do not condone the act of rape under any circumstances.  However, in this case the “victim”, while intoxicated, openly consented to the activity and made no attempt to flee the scene.

Enough of that.  Another intriguing story concerns the botched execution of a woman in Tennessee.  Christa Pike was serving a sentence for the murder of a classmate in 1995 when she was eighteen.  She was sentenced to be executed by lethal injection.  Pike was raped at age eleven and attempted suicide at twelve and was placed in a juvenile center as a result of a break-in to steal candy where she violated rules obviously a very troubled teen.  Pike had been held in solitary confinement since 1996 and was treated for obsessive compulsive disorder.

It didn’t get much news activity; this is the second botched execution in Tennessee with the same doctor.  The other inmate, Tony Carruthers, also survived and his execution and the warden postponed any further attempt at the process for the remainder of the year.  I guess one other inmate was scheduled.  Pike was transferred to a hospital and, as far as I can determine, she remains there on life support.

While I am not a religious individual, I have long opposed capital punishment.  I don’t believe that any person has the right to intentionally take the life of another except in the case of military conflicts.  That also includes abortion.

Finally, I’m very concerned regarding the upcoming election.  Trump is making extraordinary attempts with trips just about everywhere.  I’m particularly troubled by the Texas Senate race.  I just can’t believe Talarico is that far ahead of Paxton, who apparently isn’t extremely well liked by his own party.  A Congressional take-over by Democrat Socialist Party will forever change our constitutional government.  Republicans: get out and vote no matter what.  Democrats: have a couple more beers and watch the results on TV
